Food products
Wherever grain, flour, sugar, spices, cereals, and other bulk materials are produced, generated during processes, or stored in silos, they must be dedusted. This primarily means dedusting for the recovery and cleaning of products. Capturing the dust-air mixture as close as possible to the point of origin on machines or plant components is the most effective way to prevent dust deposits. Even a thin layer of dust measuring just one millimeter can create an ignitable dust cloud when stirred up.
Infastaub offers innovative dust removal technology for both small businesses and industrial plants. Our dust removal solutions sustainably increase safety, efficiency, and quality standards in production.

Dust removal from hypoallergenic baby food
Dust removal from conveyor systems in a production process for hypoallergenic baby food is carried out using pocket filters from the INFA-JET AJN 204 series. Taking into account the products to be dedusted, all parts that come into contact with the product and gas were manufactured in sterile stainless steel. Due to the high hygiene requirements, the filter support frames are also custom-made from stainless steel. The filter media consist of food-safe polyester needle felt with a laminated PTFE membrane. In line with the hygienic design of "easy-to-clean" systems, the filter units have no sharp edges or hollow profiles, and the filter housings are glass bead blasted on the outside.
In addition to the sterile design, the filter design also had to comply with Atex regulations for explosion protection. Some of the filters also had to have a pressure shock resistance of 1.0 bar Ü. The bag filters are designed for a throughput of 25 m³/min each, with a filter area load of 1.25 m³/m²*min. Cleaning of the filter bags is started fully automatically by differential pressure.

No dust during the production of energy bars
In a preliminary stage of the production process for chocolate or energy bars, various toppings such as crispies or flakes are added. This process generates dust.
In addition to dust prevention, it was important to ensure that the system operated quietly in this environment. This was achieved by using silencers and an enclosed fan with a capacity of 3,600 m³/h.
