Glass, Ceramic Industry
Dust emissions primarily arise during batch production or preparation for the melting process and during glass processing. Glassworks are therefore subject to environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and must comply with statutory emission requirements. Glass-specific dust emissions can be removed from the exhaust air using fabric filters.
Measures to combat dust must also be taken in the manufacture of ceramic products. Infastaub offers a wide range of dust extraction systems, designs, and structural solutions for these business areas.
Example
Bag filters for dust removal in a new glass factory
In a batching plant, the raw materials required for glass production are stored in silos, from where they are dosed into container scales and weighed according to the subsequent glass composition. The raw material mixture is then mixed and transported to the glass melting tank via conveyor belts or in buckets.
In a new glass factory for the production of hollow glass in Mexico, production and transport processes are dedusted using 24 filter systems of different designs. The volume flows range from 60 to 1,500 m³/h with a filter area of 1 to 45 m². The required clean gas dust content is < 10 mg/m³.
