Recycling, disposal
Many industrial waste disposal plants emit dust and release it into the environment – through shredders, mills, waste bunkers or through cutting, mixing, sorting, transporting, filling, etc. The particular challenge lies in the undefined variety and composition of the products and dusts produced. Without a sophisticated dust extraction system, this leads to contamination, pollution, and health hazards.
Infastaub manufactures the right dust extraction systems for many applications in this sector, ensuring that legal standards are met and health risks are effectively combated.
Examples
Dust removal from a wind sifter
To process construction waste, it is first crushed in a crusher and then fed into a wind sifter to remove fine dust and other foreign matter from the crushed material.
The air from the classifier is cleaned in an INFA-MAT dust collector (bag filter).
Additional equipment:
- Motor-driven flat slide valve at the dust discharge of the filter.
- Control unit for controlling cleaning, fan, and flat slide valve.
- Cleaning is triggered by a differential pressure switch at 7 mbar.

Dust removal from slightly radioactive residues
The dust removal from two stainless steel caissons, in which radioactive waste is dismantled, sorted, and processed, is carried out by two identical cassette filters of the type INFA-MICRON MKR 5/20-4/20. For a higher separation efficiency of the slightly nuclear-contaminated dust, the cassette filters were designed with two filter stages. Another protective measure against radioactive dust is the Safe-Change System for contamination-free replacement of the filter cartridges and dust collection containers. The gas-tight design of the filter units also prevents possible dust contamination in the work area.
